A 100% Italian extra virgin olive oil by Romano Vincenzo, the Sicilian family mill in Bronte since 1959, presented in a vibrantly decorated aluminium tin. A blend of Nocellara dell'Etna, Tonda Iblea and Biancolilla, cold-extracted: intensely green, medium fruity, with a bitter-and-spicy character and a lingering tomato finish.

The Maiolica takes its name from the decorated ceramic tradition that has coloured Sicilian tables for centuries. The tin, vivid, patterned, unmistakably Mediterranean, is the right container for what is inside: a Sicilian blend that responds to the harvest rather than holding to a fixed formula, changing character a little from year to year.

A blend of Sicilian olives, hand-harvested with combs and cold-extracted, using mechanical methods only.

Best used raw, on Mediterranean dishes: bruschetta, grilled vegetables, legume soups, fish and white meats.

Keep in a cool, dark place away from heat sources.
