Marfuga Riserva - Umbrian Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Extra virgin olive oil produced by Azienda Agraria Marfuga in Campello sul Clitunno, in the green heart of Umbria, where the Gradassi family has grown olives since 1817.

The Riserva is a selection within a selection — the highest expression of the estate's work. Only olives picked by hand, strictly by brucatura, at a precise moment slightly before full ripeness, when the polyphenol content is at its peak and the aromatic complexity is greatest, are pressed in the family's own mill to become the Riserva.

The early harvest gives the oil its character: an intense green colour with golden highlights, a fresh and herbaceous nose, and a full, fruity taste with dominant notes of artichoke and thistle, balanced bitterness and pepper, and a long green-almond finish.

It is one of the most consistently awarded extra virgin olive oils in Italy. It has been rated 99/100 by Flos Olei (2022, 2023, 2024 and 2026) and named "Best extra virgin olive oil of the year" by the same guide in 2020. It has received the "5 Gocce" from Bibenda (2019–2022), the "Olio Slow" recognition from Slow Food (2018 and 2021), the Extra Gold medal at the BIOL international award (2020 and 2021), a Gold Medal at Oil China (2021), and first place at the Sirena d'Oro di Sorrento (2021). It is also regularly listed by Gambero Rosso (Tre Foglie Rosse in 2019).
