42 % vol
Walnut liqueur produced in Altamura (Apulia, Italy) by F.lli Striccoli since 1832.
The recipe was created in the late 18th century by Capuchin friar Giuseppe Ronchi (in religious life "Padre Peppe") in the monastery of Altamura, where it was originally prepared as a herbal preparation. In 1832 the recipe passed to the Striccoli family, which began commercial production under the friar's name. The Striccoli family has continued production in Altamura ever since.
The liqueur is made from the infusion of green walnuts harvested before ripening, combined with sugar syrup and natural flavourings (nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon), then aged four years in oak barrels.
Excessive alcohol consumption is harmful to health. Consume in moderation.
