An Italian non-alcoholic amaro: dark amber, herbal, with rhubarb, cinchona and angelica leading a bitter and balsamic profile. Cold extraction of herbs, flowers, leaves, fruits and roots (14.5%). 0.0% vol.
The Italian amaro is a category unto itself — not a wine, not a spirit in the conventional sense, but a tradition with its own logic: bitter, herbal, warming, deeply aromatic, served cold or at room temperature at the close of a meal. Its history runs from the monastery pharmacies of the medieval period through the family distilleries of the nineteenth century to the iconic bottles that occupy the back of every Italian bar today. A non-alcoholic preparation for cocktails, suitable for vegetarians.
