Liquorice liqueur produced in Montalto Uffugo (Calabria, Italy) by Vecchio Magazzino Doganale, made from liquorice roots of Calabria.
The production method follows a traditional process: the roots are first boiled, a technique that loosens the fibres and makes the subsequent pressing more effective in extracting the liquorice. Separately, roots cut into chunks are submerged in an alcoholic infusion with cane sugar and left to mature for at least twenty days. The two preparations are then combined, and the liqueur rests in the bottle for nearly two months before release.
No artificial colourings or flavourings. Shake before serving.
