500 ml of Coratina olive oil in a bottle painted in the Tiffany pattern, one of four Lamantea decorations alongside Mosaico, Scacchi and Uncinetto.

Milled and bottled by the Lamantea family in Bisceglie, on the Adriatic side of Puglia. Coratina is the cultivar that dominates the Apulian groves, and this is a single-variety oil rather than a blend of several.

The bottle is made to be left out on the table rather than shut in a cupboard — which is also the honest use for a 500 ml format: the oil you reach for when the pan is already off the heat.

Cold extracted, solely by mechanical means. Single cultivar: Coratina.

Best used raw, off the heat: bruschetta, tomato and legume soups, grilled vegetables, white meats, fresh cheeses.

Keep in a cool, dark place away from heat sources.
