The zero-alcohol version of Amaru Unnimaffissu, the Sicilian amaro-style drink created by Beverage Distribution in San Giovanni La Punta, on the slopes of Etna. The recipe stays 100% Sicilian: natural infusions of prickly pear, carob and Sicilian orange peel, rounded with a drop of caramel — and not a drop of alcohol.
Dark caramel-brown in the glass, it moves from citrus sweetness into the earthy depth of carob, closing dry and herbal. Drink it chilled or over ice, Sicilian style, or lengthen it with soda and a strip of orange peel.
Taste
Dark caramel-brown in the glass. Sicilian orange peel and carob on the nose, with an earthy sweetness from the prickly pear infusion. Bittersweet on the palate — citrus first, then carob depth — closing on a dry herbal finish.
