Mamma mia! Frutti di Bosco - Sicilian Wild Berry Extra Jam

Wild blueberry, raspberry, redcurrant and blackcurrant, at 105 g of fruit per 100 g of jar. The two currants are what make it: they bring acidity and a tannic grip that keep the whole thing from reading as dessert, which is why this one holds up next to savoury food.

Its best use isn't breakfast. Serve it with aged and blue cheeses, with game or roast duck, or spooned over a plain panna cotta where it supplies both sweetness and contrast.
